Ethan Suplee is Clear

Ethan Suplee

Actor Ethan Suplee recently attested to the State of Clear.

He said, "I am saner and more rational."

Before Clear:

I'd decide "I want this …" and suddenly, I can't have it because of …. And there's this thing here that's better …. Suddenly it's a mess of "I don't know what I want" and "I don't know how to get it."

After achieving the State of Clear:

That doesn't happen now. So if I want something I can just go and get it. And I know with certainty that I want the right thing and I'm not going to mess myself up in the process of going after what I want. And that's amazing. Just knowing I'm not going to sabotage myself. I always sabotaged myself before, and now that's gone. It's not here anymore, and that is the coolest thing ever."

Kelly Preston - Medium

Kelly Preston will be appearing in four episodes of the paranormal thriller "Medium". She'll be playing an interloper in the marriage of the two main characters on the show. The executive producer said they chose Kelly because, "we needed an actress who exuded both intelligence and sexuality." If you saw her in Jerry McGuire you'll know she can sure do that.

Jason Dohring Interview

Jason Dohring
Jason Dohring was interviewed by Michael Hinman of SyFyPortal, a news web site about Science Fiction and Fantasy, regarding his new role as the 400-year-old vampire Josef Konstantin on "Moonlight." (Now that's a role he'll be able to sink his teeth into ... sorry, I couldn't resist it).

Anyway, bad jokes aside, here is the interview: 'Moonlight' Star Thanks Scientology For Success

Jeff Conaway kicks his drug habit with Scientology

Jeff Conaway
Jeff Conaway (star of Taxi and Babylon 5) had a drug problem. But his friend John Travolta decided to reach out and help him.

Conaway describes what happened in an interview with Inside Edition: Jeff Conaway tells Inside Edition Scientology Helped Him Kick Drugs for Good.

In Scientology, helping a person get off drugs consists of:

- The Purification Rundown® Program
- TRs and Objectives
- Scientology® Drug Rundown

The ability gained from this is "Released from the harmful effects of drugs, medicine or alcohol." Something very worth achieving in our drug ridden society.

David Pomeranz accepts Award on Behalf of L. Ron Hubbard

David Pomeranz

I was just chatting with my friend David Pomeranz about the award presented to L. Ron Hubbard by the Dangerous Drugs Board of the Philippines Government for his work in the fields of drug education and rehabilitation (DDB awards Scientology founder, anti-drug crusader).

David told me a little more about the event than was in the government press release. A General who spoke at the award ceremony said that the Narconon program is in full swing in the Philippines and is successfully getting people off drugs like no other program they have ever seen. Another speaker talked about the Applied Scholastics program being piloted in the school system and about the excellent results the program is producing.

David is a multi-platinum award winning songwriter, performer and recording artist. His 1999 album Born for You is the biggest selling album of all time in the Philippines,

How To Rob A Bank - Starring Erika Christensen

Erika Christensen stars in the movie "How to Rob a Bank" written and directed by Andrews Jenkins. The movie critic of the New York Daily News describes her as "impressively committed" to her role as bank employee Jessica, caught in the middle of a bank heist. But is she just an innocent bystander or is she part of the heist? To find the answer you'll have to go see the movie.

BTW, in the movie she has black hair. I almost didn't recognize her - it is amazing how different a person can look just by changing their hair color.

Ex-Dallas Cowboy decides to use Scientology as part of getting his life back in order

Here is an inspiring story of a guy who was not just down on his luck, but (in the words of the old blues song) "if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all". A sports reporter found him and wrote a story of his fall in an article entitled "From a Benz to a bike". Briefly, Clayton Holmes was a three times Superbowl winner, a talented athlete and a generous giver who ended up penniless after "a life gone bad" through "misdeeds and mistakes ... late-night parties and long-legged women ... money earned and money squandered." But after the article was written he decided to turn his life around as described in the follow up article :Holmes making strides toward mending his life.

In itself his story is very inspiring, showing that no matter how bad it gets, you can do something about it. But the part that caught my attention was that he has chosen Scientology as part of his road back.

From the article:
Upon arriving in the nation's capital, he immediately contacted the Church of Scientology, a religious movement that had long intrigued him. For the ensuing two weeks, he rose at 5:30 a.m., took the Metro to the church and spent the entire day studying. He recently completed his first Scientology course -- one of the proudest academic achievements of his life. "I already see my studying skills improving," says Holmes, who suffers from ADD and is 17 credits shy of graduating from Carson-Newman College. "I know a lot of people look at Scientology and think it's hearsay or think of Tom Cruise, but I'd encourage people to read about it before making a judgment. All I know is it's helped me gain a proper perspective and outlook on certain things. I hope people choose not to bash Scientology and instead look at me as a person who is in the process of figuring out how to create a better environment for kids."
It's always great to see someone getting their life back together. I wish Clayton the best of luck!

SAG Awards are tonight

Due to the Writers strike in Hollywood it looks like the Screen Actors' Guild awards may be the highlight of this awards season. The big entertainment shows are planning major coverage and the TBS/TNT execs are probably rubbing their hands in glee at the prospect of sky-high rating!

The show is on at 8/7 Central but online coverage at the TBS website starts at 6:15/5:15c (what the heck time is that on the East Coast?). Anyway, there are plenty of celebrities there including Tom Cruise and John Travolta so it should be a blast.

Tom Cruise to host at the SAG Awards

I just heard that Tom Cruise is also going to be hosting at the SAG Awards. Apparently it is going to be a star-studded event, I guess to make up for the problems with the Golden Globes due to the writers' strike and the possible problems the Oscars might face.

Anyway, the event should be a blast.

John Travolta is a presenter at the SAG Awards

John Travolta
It has just been announced that John Travolta will be one of the presenters at the Screen Actors Guild awards. Luckily the current Hollywood writers strike doesn't affect the SAG awards so this event will be broadcast live on TNT and TBS.

Other presenters at the SAG Awards include the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale (my heart just skipped several beats :) ) and Russell Crowe. It should be fun!

John got a Golden Globe nomination for "Best Supporting Actor" for Hairspray and he won the "Best Supporting Actor" for Hairspray from the Hollywood Film Festival. The movie has won several awards including People's Choice Award for "Favorite Song From a Soundtrack" for the song "You Can't Stop the Beat" and "Best Acting Ensemble" from the Broadcast Film Critics Association. Way to go John! You can see more news about John here: John Travolta News.

Official Response to the "Biography" of Tom Cruise

Golden Era Productions
The response by the Church of Scientology to the Andrew Morton Biography (aka "pack of lies) can be found on the Today Show website: Church of Scientology statement. Response to Andrew Morton's unauthorized Tom Cruise biography.

The statement is straight to the point, no punches are pulled.

Attached to the statement is a retraction by a British tabloid of some lies told to them by Andrew Morton that they printed.

As an example of the blatant lies told by Andrew Morton, here is a picture of the secret “desert liar” with “bunkers and war rooms”. Hmm, funny color for a desert, looks more like a green and pleasant spa to me. And the public golf course kinda spoils the "secret" bit.
