One of the new contributing authors has suggested changing the blog template to something more "colorful". The one I was using "Rounders" was a bit dark and subdued. So here is another, slightly brighter one called "Rounders 2". Tell me what you think.

My first post here: who the hell am I

Hi everyone! I am Milla. I am a 20-year Scientologist and among a lot of other stuff, I’m a blogger. My main blog is called Clear Santo Domingo! and I’m very proud to say it’s the oldest and the biggest Scientology blog in Spanish, my very romantic –I’m sure you’ll agree– mother tongue.

I’ve been very honored by Grahame's invitation to contribute on this wonderful blog, about such a key activity as the arts are. I suspect Grahame did that because I was overwhelming him with my high-frequency emails with news about Tom Cruise for him to post here, but I am not quite sure why yet.

I like to consider myself a professional fan of Tom Cruise, a professional fan of David Pomeranz and –above all– a professional fan of Grahame, my all-time favorite Scientologist blogger.

I will not be posting about Grahame here, though... not yet at least. I think some time will go by before bloggers are considered “real” Celebrities... However, be prepared for a huge bias on my posts in favor of those other two great artists I mentioned above and also be ready to meet some “exotic” celebs of other languages and professions.

Tom Cruise is still #1

According to Esquire Magazine, Tom Cruise is the most bankable star in Hollywood and another Scientologist (John Travolta) is eleventh.

Tom needs to stay on his toes though, his close friend Will Smith is catching him up. With 28 movies under his belt, Tom scored 27 points on the Esquire "Box Office Power" system, while Will scored 24 on only 15 movies.

Michelle Stafford - Another Emmy???

Tonight is the night! Michelle Stafford has been nominated seven times for Emmy Awards and has won twice. That is an amazing achievement. So the burning question is ... will she win again, tonight at the Daytime Emmy Awards?

Tom Cruise at MTV Movie Awards

Tom Cruise along with a long list of other big named Hollywood stars, including his buddy Will Smith, will be a presenter at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards.

Cruise, long a program mainstay, was the first-ever winner of MTV's Generation Award, given to the performer who has most captured the attention of MTV's audience throughout his or her career.

The MTV Movie Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET - so don't miss it.

Jason Dohring Interview

There is a great interview with Jason Dohring in the latest Celebrity Magazine.

Jason's breakout role was as "Veronica´s hypnotically incorrigible nemesis" Logan Echolls in the show Veronica Mars. Now he is starring in Moonlight, which earned a People´s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama earlier this year.

Jason has been a Scientologist all his life and talks about his career and how Scientology has helped him in it.

Beautiful Sofia Milos, star of CSI: Miami and The Border, will receive this year's Award of Excellence at the Banff World Television Festival.

Blogging for Human Rights - May 15th, 2008

Today (May 15th) is Blogging for Human Rights Day!

Artists and entertainers everywhere should be very knowledgeable about human rights, because the right to free expression is one of those rights.

How important are human rights? Well, without them you can be imprisoned without trial, you can have your property taken away, you can be enslaved, you can be discriminated against because of your race or beliefs, you can be tried in a secret court, you can have your letters opened and your phone tapped without due process, you can be arrested for expressing your opinion, you can be tortured and more.

Why should you learn about human rights? It is vital to know what your rights are, otherwise they will be taken away from you and all the abuses of the centuries, abuses that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was written to stop, will come about again.

The number of lies and rumors spread about Tom and his family in the last couple of years is pretty disgusting. I applaud Oprah for her interview that showed the real Tom and to people like Rebecca who recognize the truth when they see it.

Jim Meskimen Does it Again!

Scientologist Jim Meskimen's vocal abilities are phenomenal. The guy can do impressions of just about anyone. He is a regular now on the video site "JibJab" and his latest video for them is a masterpiece. What We Call the News doesn't just lampoon the news but makes some scary social commentary about, well, what we call the news.

New Template for the Site

I just switched to the new style Blogger templates. You probably won't notice a lot of difference in colors but I hope you notice the big list of Scientology Celebrities I've added to the side-bar.

Suri Cruise - A Supermodel at 2 years old

Just kidding, sort of. Though, in a way it is true. Check this out: On their website, In Style magazine has an entire gallery devoted to Suri Cruise! Suri's Stylish.

Hey, getting an entire photo gallery on the In Style website certainly puts you on a par with supermodels. Not bad for a little girl who just turned two years old.

Connor Cruise gets his start in movies

Tom Cruise's adopted son, Connor, will be making his debut in movies, playing one of the main characters as a boy. It's a non-speaking part, but it's a start!

Connor was not given any special preference because of who his parents are, he had to audition just like anyone else. I would guess that growing up around movie sets and the paraphenalia of Hollywood would make this a very familiar area for him.

So now his career in movies is off to a great start: he's not just in a Will Smith movie, but he's also playing Smith as a boy.

Michelle Stafford

Emmy Award winning actress Michelle Stafford is a star on the daytime drama "The Young and the Restless." Not only has the show now exceeded 1,000 consecutive episodes, but it is also celebrating its 35th year on the air! Michelle has appeared in more than 520 of those episodes. (Here is an article about the show: 35 years of ‘Y&R’.

Michelle is a busy girl, not only is she staring in Y&T but she has a movie coming out in May called 3 Days Gone.

I've met Michelle a few times through a mutual friend and I was on course with her a couple of years ago. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but she is one of the most enthusiastic and energetic people I have ever met.

Struck - the Movie

Yesterday in researching what to write about the beautiful Jennifer Aspen I came across a movie she just starred in called "Struck". I went to the web site and found this hilarious video: Struck - Behind The Scenes. It's a hoot, with the stars of the show camping it up to the max. If you've seen any "Making Of" movies about digital effects and those little green balls they stick onto the actors, then you'll really appreciate the bit about the tennis balls with the smiley faces.

The movie Struck was directed by Taron Lexton, whose films have won more than a dozen awards and who, in June last year, was presented with the "United Nations Award of Excellence" for his work in the field of human rights. In winning the award, he joins such luminaries as Mikhail Gorbachev, Arthur Miller and Stephen Hawking. Taron is the youngest person ever to receive this award. Jennifer Aspen

Jennifer Aspen is probably best known for her starring role in the sitcom "Rodney". Since that series ended, her career has continued to blossom with guest starring roles in numerous shows, such as "Boston Legal", "The Closer", "Criminal Minds" and the ABC series "Eli Stone". Plus she's been in movies such as "Mr. Woodcock" with Billy Bob Thornton and Susan Sarandon and the independent movie "Struck," by award winning director Taron Lexton. Struck looks like an intriguing film, in fact so intriguing that I'll post something about it tomorrow and there will be a link to a video that includes Jennifer (and two of her pets) being very funny.
